Browse through our great selections at your convenience through are easy to use website. Once your order has been placed we immediately begin work on its processing. Your diamonds are first ordered and your ring is placed into production according to the specifications you used in your order. Our diamond specialists use various methods to produce your ring before it is finally packaged and shipped to you.
Lost wax casting
The first method is called lost wax casting. The ring you have selected is made into a wax model by injecting wax into a rubber mold. The wax model is placed onto a tree in preparation to be casted into precious metal. The wax tree is placed in to a flask and plaster is poured into the flask. It is then placed into a kiln overnight to evaporate the wax tree leaving a cavity to fill with your precious metal. Your ring is now ready to be cast by pouring the metal into the flask. We can make your ring in 14KT, 18KT white or yellow gold and of course in platinum.
Next the plaster is broken apart to receive the casted jewelry. The tree is cleaned and the ring clipped from it as well as the screws being removed. The method we use to prepare solitaire rings and engagement rings is called dye striking. This allows for the setting to be strong making sure your diamond is safe and secure. The prongs are stamped from solid sheet of precious metal which gives it strength. The prongs are set together to give you your diamond setting.
placing the diamonds
Your diamond is thoroughly inspected upon receiving it to insure that it is the exact color, cut, clarity and carat weight you have ordered. Our diamond specialist will then set your side stones if needed and prepare you center setting to receive your special diamond. Your prongs are then inspected again to make sure your diamond will be protected for many years to come. After your diamond is set, your ring is given a final polish to give it a brilliant finish. We double check the size and quality one final time before it is placed into your beautiful jewelry box with your accompanying invoice certificates and appraisals. Your ring is then insured and sent via the shipping carrier.
It is always recommended to take insurance on your diamond jewelry as it is a common practice to protect against lost or stolen items. Primestyle gives you all your certificates and appraisals for free, everything you need to have your item insured.
